What to wear this fall?

So it's almost fall here in the midwest despite the 80 degree weather. I'm so ready to start wearing sweaters and boots. I've been adding a few new things to my wardrobe, so far I've purchased some new jeans, flats, military-style jacket, and some long-sleeved tees.

I need some more sweaters and saw this at Lands End - I like this as you could pair with leggings or jeans.
